Nothing wildly exciting to update about, but here's what has happened recently:
Friday Dec 11 - woke up with a gastro-virus which knocked me on my butt for a day or so. I ended up with an IV for fluids, anti nausea meds, and heartburn meds. I had the IV in for about a day, then was feeling decent enough to have it removed (it was also annoying me just because of the placement). It took another couple of days until I was feeling back to normal.
Monday Dec 14 - had a bio-phyical ultrasound (I have them each Monday) to check baby's movements, muscle tone, breathing movements, and the amount of amniotic fluid. They also did a transvaginal ultrasound to check on the blood vessels - update here is that the doctor no longer believe's it is a Vasa Previa, just a Placenta Previa (which I've had all along). So it's not AS serious, but still serious. There is still a large maternal vessel right over the cervix, and on the ultrasound you could actually see the blood flowing into the vessel - it was kind of crazy !!
Wednesday Dec 16th (TODAY) - my doctor was in this morning (as she is every weekday morning around 7am) and told me to start walking to the lounge every day. If that goes well and I have no spotting, then I will get to walk to the Tim's downstairs in the lobby. And if that goes well, then I may get to go home for the day on Christmas Day.
So, when Jake & Allie come for a visit today, we will wander down to the lounge and we will enjoy a change of scenery and Allie can explore a new space.
