Up until Tuesday morning, I had no idea - all I knew was we were hoping to keep this little baby in as long as possible. Then on Tuesday, my OBGYN said "So we should probably talk about a plan" - and all I could think was YES YES WE SHOULD !!
My OBGYN said she doesnt want me to go past 36 weeks (Monday January 11/16), because then the chance of bleeding increases, which means the chance of an emergency C-Section increases. And we want to keep things as stress free and relaxed as possible. She is looking at dates to see what's available, and then we will schedule my C-Section.
It is both exciting and strange to think that we will know in advance what day our little girl will be born. It will make things much easier in so many ways - we can have all my belongings packed up and ready to move down to Labour & Delivery and then to Recovery; I can also send home all the things I won't need post-delivery ahead of time to cut down on what we have to move around; we can have childcare for Allie arranged so Jake can be with me for the delivery; and I can have all my questions answered before hand and mentally prepare as best as possible for everything to come.
